Bangkok China Gate

Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand

Of all the Bangkok shots I had researched before I got there, this was the one I wanted. I knew it would be tricky: I had to sneak past a security guard, walk up a parking deck car ramp, walk by another security office and then climb one more deck to get this. I waited until about midnight, after Sejal and I finished eating in Chinatown, and while she went back to the hotel, I climbed and snuck and was able to get this incredible series of shots.

This is 14 exposures for the light trails, plus a two-exposure HDR. For me, photography is all about the story and the experience of gathering the photo. For anyone contemplating getting more into their camera, I implore you to just pick it up and go!
